iPhone 7 with iOS 11 cannot connect for U… - Apple Community

To start the conversation again, hyundai ipad cable, simply ask a new question. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but I have two iPhone 7's that were recently updated to iOS Now, post upgrade, our Hyundai stereo is saying that it cannot read either device. I tested hyundai ipad cable of these iPhone's in my Honda Civic and everything still works as expected. Anyone have any ideas or experiencing the same type of issue?

Posted on Sep 27, AM. Page content loaded. I am having the same issue with my Hyundai Accent GL Which is awfully inconvenient. Oct 1, PM. Oct 1, PM in response to tmgexe In response to tmgexe. Actually, Hyundai's information sheets for the older cars, likewill say they do not support the USB-lightning cables, and if you order Hyundai's iPod cable, it is a pin. Getting them to work with the lightning cable has always been hyundai ipad cable hit or miss, so your hyundai ipad cable it work was lucky.

I have a Sonata that still has the remote cable that plugs into the USB and a remote plug for controls. That one is a pin, and I used an Apple adapter with it, and it will work when it wants to. My daughter's Elantra does the same thing, and she has plugged hers in with just the USB and it seems to work more times than not with her iPhone. My wife's just has a USB connector, but it also has Apple's CarPlay and that one has not experienced any problems.

You might also want to check with Hyundai dealer to see if your vehicle has a software update. I've done that to myand it seems to work much better now, although most of the time if I don't wish to listen to the car's radio, hyundai ipad cable, I will stream my music from my iPhone via Bluetooth.

Yeah, I use the official apple 30 pin to lightning adapter too. Worked flawlessly on my iPhones 5 and 7 up to iOS 10, just broke with I can use Bluetooth too, but I lose in- dash track skip capability, which I use a lot, and is less stressful than yelling at Siri when I want to skip a track. Strange hyundai ipad cable say that, as I've never lost any control of the device while in Bluetooth.

Again, lucky you got it to work flawlessly, but that is on Hyundai, hyundai ipad cable. Good luck seeing if there is an update for your vehicle. Another question, do you have Navigation? If so, those updates can be purchased and installed yourself if you wish, and don't have to go through the dealer. It updates your navigation maps, etc, hyundai ipad cable. No navigation, hyundai ipad cable. I use the phone itself for that Apple Mapsthough when connected via USB it reduces music volume and gives its audio directions via the car stereo.

Did a little more fiddling with it this morning. It looks like the trick to make it work is to force-kill the Music app double-home then swipe it away. The next time I try to connect after doing that it works, if not, Loading Error. So at least that's more convenient than a full power cycle, which I had thought was the necessary prerequisite. I wouldn't count on Hyundai fixing this. For one, they probably didn't even know there was an issue until iOS11 came out so even if they jumped on it right away, how long before they have a fix included in a software revision?

As you noted, they don't even officially support lightning cable, so if I accept an update Hyundai ipad cable run the risk of losing existing functionality! A risk I'm not willing to take. And to me, if this worked in iOSes and broke at 11 hyundai ipad cable the connected device unchanged, that tells me that Apple mucked with the USB interface to legacy devices, which leads me to believe they made a change they didn't expect to be negatively impactful for anyone, and if enough people report issues with formerly working docks they'll correct whatever USB-interface change is breaking things for people that's why I'm here - adding another voice to 'the new iOS broke a formerly working car dock connection' tally.

I have far more faith in Apple fixing this than Hyundai. Oct 2, AM. Oct 11, AM in response to tmgexe In response to tmgexe. I also have a Accent GL with the stock stereo no nav and an iPhone 6. Thanks so much for the suggestion to force-quit the music app.

So far that seems to be working. Here's hoping an iOS update resolves the issue. My phone seems to work fine more but not all of the time in my wife's Tucson with the nav package, and she says she has zero problems with her iPhone 7 Plus, so it does not appear to be a Hyundai-wide issue Oct 11, AM.

I face the same with my Accent here in India its by name verna. This issue persists since first developer beta of iOS I reported it a couple of times but no gain. When your car radio says: "Loading Error" or something similar, open any other music app on your iPhone I open wync music here and just play any music from it.

Then, load the ipod by moving to AUX option from the radio. It will load and play that music. Now, on phone move to Apple music app and play.

It will work. And all the other controls will also work. This trick is useful as you don't need to restart the phone and also the music will start from the point you paused it last time.

Otherwise after restart, hyundai ipad cable, it mostly starts from default first track. Hyundai ipad cable 18, AM. Nov 12, AM in response to harishrohaj In response to harishrohaj. Thanks so much for posting this. I was running into dead ends with both Hyundai and Apple each wanting to point to the other as the source of the problem and this did the trick.

I simply closed the Music app on my iPhone 8 before making the connection to my Sonata and the on-screen controls worked fine as a result. By the way, I'm using the "old" 30 pin Hyundai wire with a white Apple "Lightning to 30 pin" adapter. Nov 12, AM. Dec 1, AM in response to harishrohaj In response to harishrohaj.

Thank you!! This has been driving me crazy! Annoying to have to start Pandora to get Apple music to play, but this works on my '13 Elantra. I was having to resort to BT which gives no on dash info. Restarting my phone worked, but I had to do it every time. Well, hyundai ipad cable, that's a whole new level of annoying when playing a hyundai ipad cable hour playlist on shuffle. I'll admit to being disappointed in Apple. I love to goad my Android friends that my device just works.

I guess the exception proves the rule? Anyway, thankful to be up and running again, so thank you! Dec 1, AM. Dec 6, AM. Jan 14, hyundai ipad cable, PM. Communities Contact Support.
